Public events are always great occasions to celebrate especially in ESO.

This time, Halloween is just around the corner, and the game’s developers have decided to organize a yearly in-game special event to celebrate this festive period – the Witches Festival!

For the next two weeks, you will be able to collect event-specific items such as Plunder Skulls, Event Tickets and many more, in order to redeem valuable rewards such as a Bear-Dog pet!

To join in on the fun, you will need to:

  • Acquire the Witchmother’s Whistle(can be used again if already unlocked in previous years).
    • Visit the Crown Storeand obtain the free quest, ‘The Witchmother’s Bargain’.
    • Complete the quest to obtain the whistle.

  • Use the whistle to receive a 100% XP bufffor the next two hours while also summoning the Witchmother’s Cauldron.

  • Using the Cauldron will transform you into one of the ghoulish undead (purely cosmetic)!

Throughout the event, Bosses will drop Plunder Skulls which are boxes containing squeaky rewards which range between:

  • Bonedust Pigments which are pieces of the Witch-Tamed Bear-Dog pet
  • Collect 10 Bonedust Pigments to craft the pet
  • Hollowjack-themed items
  • Dremora-themed items
  • Exclusive Halloween recipes
  • Distinct furnishing rewards and recipes
  • So much more!

Defeating every Boss in the game for the first time during the event will also reward you with a special Plunder Skull box, which is the Dremora Plunder Skull.

The Dremora Plunder Skull contains any of the earlier items while also including extra loot such as:

  • Dremora Motif chapter pages
  • Witches Festival writs
  • Glenmoril treasure maps

The Bosses that drop these Dremora Plunder Skulls include (but not limited to):
