The next Elder Scrolls Online year-long adventure, Gates of Oblivion, begins on March 8th with the Flames of Ambition DLC. This is the first content piece that opens the Gates of Oblivion. The adventure also includes an expansion, one more DLC, and more content updates. For now, let’s see what Flames of Ambition is all about. As you know, there are two types of ESO DLCs: dungeon and zone. This one is a dungeon DLC. It includes two new dungeons. However, this doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have quests. Both dungeons tie into the Gates of Oblivion story. In fact, they set the premise for the story that will come with the expansion. The dungeons will introduce players to Mehrunes Dagon. This is the main Gates of Oblivion antagonist. It’s a Daedric Prince and a well-known figure in the Elder Scrolls lore. Those who have been playing other TES games are very familiar with this evil-doer. The dungeons serve as an introduction to the Blackwood chapter. This is the expansion that will follow in the next months.
Flames of Ambition features two familiar characters. Players will once again meet Eveli Sharp-Arrow from the Orisinium DLC and Dremora Lyranth from the Imperial City DLC. These NPCs will guide the players as they adventure in the two dungeons: The Cauldron and Black Drake Villa. Players will team up with two mysterious characters to infiltrate The Cauldron. This is where the Order of the Waking Flame has taken residence. They are preparing for a ritual that can bring nothing good so the players need to stop them. The Black Drake Villa was once a luxurious home. Now it’s the place where an ancient tome can be found. Players must make haste as time is not on their side. This run is a race against the clock as players have limited time until the place burns down to the ground. Should you complete these new dungeons, you will get new items. The rewards include new sets, unique collectibles, and more. Each dungeon comes with a set of achievements. You may need multiple runs to get all of them.
Flames of Ambition comes one week later, on March 16th, to consoles. The DLC costs 1,500 crowns. If you are an ESO Plus subscriber, you get the DLC as part of the subscription deal. You have access to all Elder Scrolls Online DLCs as long as you have an active subscription. Don’t forget to check out ESO gold at U7BUY.com.
