Leveling guide. Elder Scrolls Online leveling process remains the same in the sense that players still need XP to level up. The update regarding leveling is actually an addition and not a change. While leveling, it will now be easier and more intuitive for players to build their characters. The new feature called Skills Advisor proposes different archetypes (also called specializations) and allows players to get an idea of the playing style for that archetype. Info on abilities and skills is also provided. The second leveling feature is a rewards system. Players get prizes when they gain new levels. The prizes include XP scrolls, crafting materials, and even mounts.
Home storage. Adventurers will now have more space in their bags and bank as Update 17 introduces more storage options. These options are chests and coffers that can be placed in player owned homes. Coffers have a storage capacity of 30 items and chests can hold up to 60 Elder Scrolls Online items. Any item that can be stored in a bank can be placed in chests and coffers. There will be four of each type available so that means eight containers. These are collectibles. Players will get one container for free as a reward from leveling. The other can be bought from the crown store and from Tel Var vendors. Those who have the “Permanent Resident” achievement can get containers for writ vouchers. Players have access to items stored in these special containers from any house they own.
Outfit system. Each player can now have a different look thanks to this feature that introduces the possibility to give a piece of armor a different appearance. The new outfit stations let players decide on a dye and appearance for each equipment slot. Players need to pay Elder Scrolls Online gold or special change tokens each time they change the appearance and color. The token is good for one full armor change. Players can get the outfit change token from the crown store.
